I am probably the most important person on this radio station because I am the "weekend warrior". I make sure that Madison, Keith, Kane, and Ace and TJ get enough rest so that they can do the heavy lifting Monday - Friday.
Being "placeholder" has it's benefits. I get to act like I'm a part of the station at concerts (I almost met J Biebs!), have full access to the radio station's fridge (usually full of leftovers that are a minimum of two days old), and every once in a while someone from promotions will give me the latest CD (usually 3-5 years old). My parents are upset I don't get a real job, like at McDonald's or Chic Fil A, but I keep telling them someday I'll be a superstar!
And they don't believe me.
So I appreciate you supporting my weekend career. Please keep listening, it makes me smile.

Why Do I Think I Can Dance When I Drink?

So last night, at the company Christmas party I had a "drink or two". I am NOT a dancer. But, apparently, I can dance in front of coworkers and good looking girls after drinking.
Why do friends let friends dance after drinking? I am the whitest guy on the planet, and the LAST person that should be on the dancefloor. But last night, I had moves like jagger on that dancefloor. And the ladies... well... they couldn't contain themselves.
And that is why I spent last night, and many nights for that matter, alone. AWWWWWW! I know, I know!
So, if you attend a holiday funtion this year, remember, friends don't let friends dance drunk.

Everyone hates 280! Between the hours of 4 and 7pm it is a virtual parking lot in some places. Before I moved to Birmingham people advised me never to live on, and avoid traveling 280.
Having to travel down 280 is like burning popcorn, chicken tenders with no sauce, a warm soda with no ice... I could go on and on.
The newest solution proposed? A lane made specifically for busses (hopefully faster) that people will be able to commute to work in. Uh...
I've had a no-nonsense solution for a while now. You make 280 ONE WAY, ALL LANES heading north in the morning and south in the evening. I think that solves your problem, right?
But what if I have to go the opposite direction? You're out of luck... sorry. You can't make all of the people happy all of the time, and I think this is an instance where compromise makes it suck for everyone. Why not make *most* people happy all of the time?
In any case, something needs to be done about 280 - it is awful. God bless those in charge, they have some work to do.
